sketches!

some sketches from the past week. the girl was from our figure drawing workshop last week at work. and the fruit...well, i recently showed my girlfriend how to watercolour, and she surpassed me within a day or so, this is me trying to catch up.

Versailles picture dump

to tell you the truth i really didnt care for Versailles when i went there. this was probably due to the fact that there was a lot of construction and it was the hottest day of the year...maybe im being a bit harsh. but looking back on a lot of these pictures i took that day, i can definitely say that despite the fact of myself not caring for the chateau, i sure came back with some neat pictures of the place.

the giant squid like plant making sure the tourist were going where they were supposed to.


the french must have been giants back then...


the french made these as cruel jokes against the americans...



i have more fun Versailles pictures so if anyone enjoys these i might post more!

like father like son?

in hopes that someday i might look as cool as my father, i decided to paint a picture of when he and my younger brother shaved their beards into handlebar mustaches.



i spent a bit more time on these for i have a hard time capturing a likeness, so i really wanted these to look like who they were supposed to be. in time i will finish the one of my little brother and post it again.

more pictures...see my lame explanations below.


Heidelberg- the first empty street in Europe i found. might be a connection with those creepy bikes from the image in previouos post. or maybe there are no people here, just bikes.


i could try and come up with some argument explaining the theory of relativity using these green pods and the dew...but i wouldnt want to bore you.


yes this atop of a mountain and yes i did ride a bike all the way up there...in the rain.

a long time coming...

im working on some paintings of some of my family members and its taking longer than i expected (mostly because i actually care and want them to look good). so in light of having no actual art to post ive decided to post some pictures ive taken while spending the past two summers in France. i havent ever really showed anyone any of my pictures and so i figured this is as good a place as any...


the first thing i saw on my first trip to Heidelberg, Germany...such a cool city. except for the scary zombie bikes.



my future home...hopefully.



in all actuallity this is where ill end up living...evil clouds and all.
